Trade unions and learning in the workplace: a status report - Recent legislation has given unions a pivotal role in training and developing their members, in the workplace and beyond. The Union Learning Fund now has a total of GBP10.5 million available to develop new learning initiatives between employers and unions. Bringing together each of the various initiatives affecting the "learning" role of the unions, we aim to give a clear picture of progress so far and outline plans for the future. We include three case studies of successful partnerships between unions and employers that illustrate the diversity and value of work done to date.
