Policy concerning the use of Generative AI at the Netherlands eScience Center

Generative AI systems, such as ChatGPT, have taken the world by storm in recent months. Despite the huge potential in supporting and even accelerating the work at the eScience Center, such systems also come with serious risks and hidden costs. To mitigate these problems as much as possible, the eScience Center has defined an initial policy on the responsible use of Generative AI. The policy is implemented per immediately and holds for all eScience Center employees. Extensions to the policy are expected in the coming months.
