In addition to the well-known and well-restored early biographical Dutch films, Ivo Blom researches another series of early 'views' of the Netherlands, hitherto hardly researched by Dutch historians. These films include street shots of Amsterdam and Rotterdam, and recordings of media events involving Queen Wilhelmina and Paul Kruger.
