This article discusses the phenomenon of articulatory settings in phonetics and in pronunciation teaching as a useful tool for the improvement of pronunciation of intermediate and advanced Czech learners of Dutch. The author focuses on the comparison of the articulatory settings of Dutch - both of the Northern and the Southern standard varieties - and Standard Czech.
