Abstract Background Glanzmann thrombasthenia (GT) and Bernard‐Soulier syndrome (BSS) patients require frequent platelet transfusions and hence have an increased risk for alloimmunization against donor Human Leukocyte Antigens (HLA) when no HLA‐matching is performed.
