The Success of the Romanceros about 1550: : a Proposal for an Explanation ; El éxito de los romanceros en torno a 1550:: una propuesta de explicación

Around 1550-1551 a whole series of romanceros appears, more or less directly related to the Cancionero de romances, printed some years earlier (1546-1547) by Martín Nucio in Antwerp. Starting from this date, the present work offers a possible explanation for the relative delay of these editions, relating them to the late reception of Nucio's work in the context of Prince Philip's trip to Flanders.
