Species-Specific Patterns of Gut Metabolic Modules in Dutch Individuals with Different Dietary Habits

ABSTRACT Diet is an important determinant of the human gut microbiome. Here, we analyzed fecal metagenomes of Dutch adults following omnivorous, pescatarian, vegan, and vegetarian diets. We compared the taxonomic composition of individuals from our study with publicly available gut metagenomes from westernized and non-westernized societies.
